CHANT MASTER KRISHNA DAS RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM FOR NUTONE RECORDS
LIVE CONCERT ALBUM HEART FULL OF SOUL OUT SEPTEMBER 16TH
(Los Angeles, CA) – World renowned chant master Krishna Das will mark his first release since joining the Nutone roster with the release of his debut live album Heart Full of Soul on September 16th. Captured at Yoga Works Larchmont in Los Angeles and spanning over 2 hours in length, the 2-disk set encapsulates the complete live experience of being at a Krishna Das concert.
Renowned for making kirtan chant more accessible to Westerners, it was Krishna Das’s desire to create a record that would allow people to immerse themselves in a night of kirtan. Heart Full of Soul transports audiences into that space and features the gospel hymn “Jesus on the Main Line”, beloved by audiences and available for the first time on CD.
As the best selling chant artist of all time, Krishna Das has sold more than 300,000 records, and continues to engage enthusiastic audiences around the world. He has headlined venues from concert halls to yoga studios for sold out crowds in cities across America, throughout Europe and most recently in South America. He has been recording his popular and much-beloved CD’s of devotional Indian chants since 1996 as a sharing of his lifetime spiritual journey, especially the practices of Bhakti Yoga—the yoga of devotion—and to kirtan—call-and-response chanting of the divine names.
